With the Oscars only days away and the excitement building one can only wonder about the under dog movie Precious!!!!!!!!! Precious is up for 6 nominations Gabourey Sidibe for Best Actress, Mo'Nique for Best supporting actress, Lee Daniels for Directing, Film editing, Writing (adapted Screenplay),as well as BEST PICTURE. Precious has been accruing Oscar buzz since last year when it debuted at the Sundance Film Festival and since then has been sweeping awards from the 62nd Annual Golden Globes to the 82nd Academy Awards. Precious was hands down one of the best movies produced this year. This movie will make you cry, laugh, and feel like there is nothing in the world that can get in your way of gaining true happiness. Gabourey Sidibe and Mo'Nique are truly worthy of there praises and nominations. I would definitely not be surprised if we see these two in a movie together or for that fact Mariah Carey in movie of her own. Mariah Carey was amazing to see as well especially with failed movies like Tennessee, Wisegirls,and Glitter(which was a personal favorite) but in precious she was truly striped of all the glamor that is her painted as this minimum wage barely making ends meet social worker. Other actors in the movie include , Paula Patton,and Lenny Kravitz. Other movies nominated are Avatar,The Blind side,District 9,The Princess and the Frog, UP,and Inglorious Bastards to name a few!
